Welcome to the Get Involved! Website

This hospital is committed to listening to and acting on the views and opinions of people who use our services and to our staff in order to provide a patient-centred service which responds to the needs of the community.

The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust has developed ways of:

• promoting patient involvement in their own care, as active partners with professionals;
• enabling patients to become informed about their treatment and care and to make informed decisions and choices about it, if they wish;
• making sure that patients, the public and staff have the knowledge, skills and support they need so that they can influence planning, delivery and monitoring of health services;
• actively involving patients and the public in planning, delivery and monitoring of our services;
• acknowledging and acting upon information we receive from patients and the public; and
• feeding back to patients and the public how their involvement has influenced the operation of The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust.
